Bloody Battle Between White Mountains and Black Waters

The novel "Born to Death" has twenty-seven chapters and 540,000 words. This is a war novel that focuses on the heroic anti-Japanese scenes of the Northeast Anti-Japanese League. There are many characters in the book. Facing powerful enemies and the destruction of their country and family, they have different mentalities and struggle from many angles. Some are proud of their death and struggle to resist foreign aggression. Some are timid and look forward to success; some betray their conscience and ancestors and become pawns of the Japanese invaders. Some see profit and forget their righteousness, act according to the prevailing circumstances, and wait to die. This is a group of portraits of characters from Northeast China during the war years. In writing, I tried my best to restore the mentality, nature, consciousness and responsibilities of these characters. Many of the characters in the book had their prototypes in the Northeast battlefield at that time. I have always strived to enhance the ideological essence of thousands of ancestors and martyrs in true descriptions, and criticized the ugly faces of the campers in fiction. I have been trying to reflect the beauty and ugliness of human nature in harsh and cruel environments, and have been exploring the inherent laws of human nature between life and death, and between interests. This work is the first work I re-wrote after reading a lot of works by Nobel Prize-winning writers over the years. I have always adhered to the principle of lightening the plot and focusing on the heart, deeply analyzing human nature and war ethics, trying to find hope in despair and victory in failure. Narrate yesterday's story and realize today's thinking. I have lived among those stories since I was a child, and I sincerely hope that these people and these things can be forever engraved in the hearts of my generation, the younger generation and the people who come after me, so that those who resisted foreign aggression can live vividly in history and in the hearts of the Chinese people.
