Titanic: the Seventh String

On April 10, 1912, the Titanic set sail from Southampton, bound for New York. Gu Tinglan, a violinist from Quanzhou, Fujian, boarded the ship as a band musician with the obsession of finding his sister who mysteriously disappeared on the route ten years ago. On the day of the first flight, he met Margaret, a British female journalist, in the first-class cabin. He was shocked by an eight-string violin of unknown origin in the other person's hands - the inner wall of the violin case was engraved with the unique craftsman's mark of his father, who had never left Fujian in his life. There seems to be a melody sealed in the cavity of this piano that does not belong to this era. As the voyage progressed, Gu Tinglan discovered that there were undercurrents on the ship: the hull defects deliberately concealed by the White Star Line, the shady transactions among first-class passengers, and the shocking secrets behind his sister's disappearance, all pointing in the same direction. The scandal that Margaret pursues as a reporter is closely related to all this. Late at night on April 14, at the moment when the iceberg hit, the seventh string of the eight-stringed harp suddenly broke—the sound coming from the piano cavity would completely rewrite everyone's understanding of that night.
