The Cycle of Entropy

In 2142, the Planck telescope array on the far side of the moon discovered a coded signal from the future in the cosmic microwave background radiation. Astrophysicist Lin Shen gradually decoded the truth: The universe has a built-in "information recycling" mechanism - when a civilization's quantum information processing capabilities reach critical complexity, its consciousness and information will be "collected" by the universe and become the "gene" of the next generation of the universe. Humanity will reach the threshold on March 15, 2147.
