An underground river is not a river. It was a way for survivors to survive in the subway tunnel after the city collapsed. Above the head is the gray tide - a thing that rises from the depths of the ruins. When it meets bricks, it turns into bricks and when it meets people, it turns into people. No one can tell where it comes from. People in the dark river only believe in one rule: when the light is out, people are there, and when the light goes out, it feeds the ashes.
