Vientiane Era

This is a world surrounded by an endless sea. During the "Great Archive" (historically known as the Great Annihilation) ten thousand years ago, the boundless sea surged out of the void and submerged 90% of the land. The old civilization was shattered into islands and foreign lands in the fog. The surviving humans rebuilt city-states on larger islands, and navigation became the only link between civilizations.
