Tao Gui Xuanmen

"Tao Guixuanmen" tells the legendary story of Zhang Siwei who spent his whole life organizing, protecting and inheriting the cultural heritage of Chinese Taoism. Zhang Siwei, the direct descendant of the Tianshi Mansion, inherited the cultivation practice of his grandfather Zhang Zhengling, the Tianshi. Zhang Zhengling is the master of modern Taoism. He spent his whole life creating the "Zhengling Heart Method", advocating that "the Tao is never far away from people, and the Dharma never leaves the world". He simplified the obscure and mysterious Taoist secrets and integrated them into daily behavior. Before his death, his grandfather entrusted Siwei with an unfulfilled ambition that he had realized throughout his life. He traveled around the world and searched for, researched, and recorded all the Taoist methods, rituals, talismans, elixirs, scientific rituals, folk Taoist beliefs and other things scattered everywhere that were related to "Tao" one by one, and compiled it into a Taoist canon that connects ancient and modern times. Since then, Zhang Siwei has embarked on a long journey alone. He went deep into the hermitage cave in Zhongnan, visited the palaces and temples in the mountains of Longhu, Wudang, Qingcheng, and Maoshan, and traced the Huoju Taoist priests, Lushan masters, and successors of Nuo opera among the scattered residents. He even traveled to the borders and overseas to trace every trace left by Taoism in the long history. From the ancient ritual of witches and wizards to communicate with the gods, to the learning of Lao Zhuang and Huang Lao, from the emergence of the Five Pecks of Rice Dao in the late Han Dynasty, to the peak of inner elixirs in the Tang and Song Dynasties, from the lineage of Quanzhen Longmen Luzong to the folk art of talisman and water forbidden incantation, for five thousand years, everything related to the Tao has been recorded. But the journey is by no means easy. Natural and man-made disasters, changes in the world, countless Taoist secret books were destroyed in wars, wandered to other places, or disappeared into obscurity with the last successor. There are even people with ulterior motives who want to use Taoist secrets to plot evil, or who regard traditional beliefs as a weakness and want to eradicate them.
