All Life on the Wall

The Yangtze River flows through Songzikou, passes through Gong'an and Guan'an Townships, and enters Dongting. A child sent by the flood, with a pen and a book of fish scales, became the toughest person on the wall, and finally left several crosses in the local chronicles. One hundred and fifty years ago, the people and land behind the shaping of the Songzi River Estuary; blocking, encirclement, and retreat—all the grievances between people and nature in the Dongting Lake area are contained in this story.
