Game of Thrones: My Protagonist Will Never Go Out of Character

A mysterious "Role-Playing Game" descends upon Westeros. In Winterfell's great hall, Player 66 takes over Theon Greyjoy's body.

At least a hundred players have entered the entire world of ice and fire. They are enemies, yet none of them knows who the others are. They could be important figures like Daenerys, or even obscure characters from the original story.

More importantly, if they misjudge someone and kill the wrong person, the System will punish them, or even erase them.

Starting with the feast held when King Robert arrives at Winterfell, Theon struggles to play the part of that proud, vain little Kraken who longs for recognition, all while searching for players hidden among the crowd.

Jon Snow could be one.

Robb Stark could be one.

Even Eddard Stark could be one.

He dares not trust anyone.

Because every mistaken judgment could cost him his life.

"I don't need to play Theon anymore. I am Theon, so there's no way I'll ever go OOC."

Years later, sitting on the throne and looking at the fleet of warships under his command, Theon curls his lips into a smile. "I don't need to seek recognition anymore, either. My own approval matters more than anyone else's."

The protagonist will have dragons,

but there will still be no war between gods.
