Age of Iron Skeleton: Echoes of the Abyss

World view: Eighty years ago, the "Abyss Gate", a space rift, arrived, bringing with it the "God Machine Core", an active material between metal and cells. The war broke out, mythical mechas bombarded the city, more than half of the world's population was lost, and integrated circuits and wireless communications were permanently put on hold. After the war, the government became an empty shell, with real power in the hands of the consortium that controlled the entrance to the abyss and the plutocrats who monopolized core technologies. In 2060, the sky above the city was torn apart by cable bridges. Computing relied on differential engines, communications relied on physical cables, and humanity's most powerful weapon, the mecha, was alive. Mecha system: Mechas are no longer cold machines, but semi-living organisms with the "God Machine Core" as their heart. The pilot needs to establish "resonance" with the mecha through nerve connections. The stronger the mental power, the higher the activity of the mecha, and it can even awaken "tactical intuition" similar to biological instinct. But the price is that excessive resonance will cause the driver's flesh to be eroded by metal cells, and eventually become a puppet of the mecha. Nine Realms of the Abyss: Behind the Abyss Gate are connected nine completely different alien worlds: the rusty plains of the Scrap Iron City, the Gear Church of the Steam Kingdom, the Ten Thousand Bones Arena of the Blood Sand Arena, the collective consciousness of the deep sea, the broken floating islands in the sky, the primitive jungle eroded by data, the lava-forged hell, the totem wasteland, and the void storm that is being swallowed by chaos. Civilian teams are the main force in exploring the abyss. *Protagonist setting: Chen Mo, a C-class mecha maintainer living at the bottom of the city. He was born with "nerve block disease" and was unable to establish resonance with any active mechas, and was regarded as a useless person.
