The Summoning Continent: Eternal-Class Summoner

On the Summoning Continent, everyone has a summoning talent. At five or six years old, they can awaken their soul-light, and its color determines the limits of their future. White soul-light: Tier One talent, with a contract limit of one summoned beast. This describes ninety percent of ordinary people on the continent, who will never rise above Iron rank. Green soul-light: Tier Two talent, with a contract limit of two summoned beasts. Adventurers and elite soldiers can reach Bronze rank if they work hard. Blue soul-light: Tier Three talent, with a contract limit of four summoned beasts. Most are core members of minor families, with a chance to reach Silver rank. Purple soul-light: Tier Four talent, with a contract limit of eight summoned beasts. This belongs to heirs of great families, seen only once in a century. Gold rank is within reach. Orange soul-light: Tier Five talent, with a contract limit of sixteen summoned beasts. As long as they don’t die young, people with this level of talent have a chance to reach Legendary rank. Red soul-light: Tier Six talent, with a contract limit of thirty-two summoned beasts. There are no more than nine such people alive on the continent today, and they’re born with the makings of overlords. Golden soul-light: Tier Seven talent, with a contract limit of sixty-four summoned beasts. One in ten thousand years. Only the God of Summoning has ever reached Mythic rank. The ironclad rule of the Summoning Continent is that a person’s summoning talent is innate and almost impossible to change. Only rare heavenly treasures can break through the shackles and forcibly raise one’s talent. Dongfang Qing discovered that his soul-light could break through its limits and advance. Every time he crossed a major realm, his soul-light gained another color, and the number of beasts he could contract increased tenfold. It turned out Dongfang Qing had Eternal-tier, seven-colored soul-light. In theory, he could contract an unlimited number of beasts and become a one-man calamity.
