Heavenly Mystery 6: The Dragon’s Battle Against Heaven

A nursing home.

Seventy-three-year-old Long Shen had reached the final year of his life.

As he sat in the sun, a few children playing nearby noticed him gazing up at the sky in thought. Curious, they came over and asked him to tell them a story.

So he told them a tale about the Dragon Clan.

The children listened, enthralled, until one of them finally asked, “Who is this person you keep talking about, the one who always saves the Dragon Clan from danger?”

“What if I told you it was me? Would you believe me?”

“We believe you!”

“Me too!”

After the story, the children went on their way.

Long Shen gazed up at the sky alone, remembering the events of decades ago.

Beside the Dragon Clan’s Cold Abyss,

he tentatively asked a dragon girl, “If I told you I’m not from your world, would you believe me?”

The girl answered earnestly, “I believe you! I do!”

Then she asked, “Do you have a wife in that other world?”

Long Shen fell silent.

Sadness showed on the girl’s face as she walked away.

Long Shen returned to the present and sighed inwardly, “I wish I could see you just one more time!”
