Blank Space in the Black Sea

Seventeen-year-old Lu Huo always thought he just got tired more easily than other people.

Until one night, gray mist seeped from his chest, and a black sword began speaking to him from the depths of his consciousness.

After that, he could see the colors hidden among the crowd.

Exhaustion was gray, protection was white, and emotions repressed for too long until they finally rotted sank into black.

The city went on as usual. Students went to class, office workers rushed for the subway, and people said, "I'm fine."

But in places no one could see, people were slowly sinking into a black sea.

The black sword told Lu Huo:

"You can't save everyone, and you can't save yourself."

Lu Huo had no answer.

He simply never reached for the sword.
