This Barbarian Is Far Too Cautious

Features: [Rational Barbarian], [Mishmash Worldview], [DND-Inspired]

After transmigrating to a fantasy continent and being reborn as a barbarian, Dai Yuedan gained totem markings that let him glimpse his own fated deaths.

What's more, whenever he successfully avoided a fatal outcome, he gained growth in proportion to the threat.

[You escaped the fate of being bitten to death by a wild dog. You gained a Charisma Shard: You will have an extra aura of menace when fighting canine creatures.]

[You escaped the fate of being bewitched by a succubus. You gained a Wisdom Shard: You will be better able to stay rational when fighting female characters.]

[You escaped the fate of being executed by a noble. You gained a Strength Shard: Your punches will be more powerful when fighting the nobility.]

And as he escaped death more and more often, his totem grew increasingly complete, and its powers grew ever stronger.

So.

To grow stronger, Dai Yuedan became an adventurer.

To avoid death, he became ever more cautious in his actions.

But sometimes, there are exceptions:

"Dai Yuedan, even if you've beaten your opponent half to death, it's still a dragon!"

"Ha ha! If I can't feel death breathing down my neck, then it's already a worm!"

"Berserk! Activate!"

[I'm a semi-purebred barbarian sharing everyday life, so I might write a bit chaotically.]
