Yesterday Was Pawned

In the forty-seventh year of the New Calendar, memories can be pawned, traded, and stolen like goods. Memory appraiser Shen Yan received a triple-encrypted last wish commission after her master, Lao Zhou, passed away mysteriously and "accidentally". He sneaked into the memory scene and read out a dusty file: nine bizarre deaths disguised as "nervous failure" were all caused by the memory being completely extracted - and the murderer was "killing" the targets one by one as accidents.
