The Industrial Behemoth of 1908

(Parallel universe. Please do not compare it with the real world.) Lu Chen, a modern man, arrives in Changchun in 1908 with the strongest Supplier System and becomes the commander of a local security force. He has around two hundred patrolmen under his command and a repair shop with little more than a lathe, a drill press, and some other basic equipment. With the System, Lu Chen can import an endless supply of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and hardware components from the modern era. With these modern products to help it, this little repair shop quickly grows into the most terrifying industrial behemoth in the world! Take steel, for example. Modern specialty steel is not only higher quality and easier to work with, it costs just a fraction of the price of specialty steel from the early twentieth century, sometimes as little as one hundredth. Guns, cannons, you name it: they’re all dirt cheap, so build as many as you want! Steel isn’t the only thing. Nearly every raw material and semi-finished product costs far less in the modern era. And then there are the hardware components! Fit an ordinary manual lathe with a modern spindle, leadscrew, guide rails, and measuring tools, and its machining precision jumps two levels, nearly matching modern standards. With both lower costs and superior machining, Lu Chen decides to dump a range of cheap industrial goods on the great powers, ruthlessly plundering their wealth to expand his military forces.
