Lu Sanjin was born weighing three jin, three pounds, and was premature. Both his parents were researchers, and they died when he was young. He grew up with his grandmother, but before he could get into college, she passed away too. The apocalypse came before the college entrance exams. When he woke up, the neighbor next door was banging on his door. Down on the street, countless motionless figures stood packed together. Those things didn't quite seem like zombies. They didn't charge mindlessly. They recognized people. They looked at you with the faces of your dead family members and called to you in the voices of your best friends. Worse, they seemed to be constantly talking among themselves. There was no sound, no signal, but somehow you could feel it. Lu Sanjin runs faster than anyone and is luckier than most.
