Mountain City Photo Studio

At twenty-six, I hid in a photo studio on an old street, soon to be demolished. Surrounded by boxes of old negatives, I shut myself away for three whole years. The woman at the bookstore next door was the only person in that run-down neighborhood willing to accept the darkness I carried inside. I grew attached to the peace she gave me, but regret weighed on my heart. I always thought there was plenty of time, and that I'd get the chance to make things right with her. Then news came from the longtime residents of the old street, and the obsession I'd buried for years began to stir. After that day, she never opened the door to the photo studio again. By the time I'd paid off all my debts and climbed out of that long, dark period, finally becoming someone as bright and full of hope as my name, all she had left behind was a neatly organized box of negatives. Can I still find her...? And so the story begins…
