On a rainy night in 2026, Xuan Qingzi, an old Taoist priest who was over seventy years old, performed the final rituals for a century-old lonely grave that no one cared about in Poguan, which was about to be bulldozed by commercial businesses. The archeology student who was taking shelter from the rain encountered the strange phenomenon. The old man poured tea under the lamp and slowly spoke: "This matter must start from the first time I saw her sixty years ago." In 1966, the orphan Xiao Shitou was taken back to the ruined temple by an old Taoist, but images that did not belong to him always appeared in his mind: a red hijab, an old well, and a woman's cry. The master said that "there was something wrong with his spiritual platform, and he had something that shouldn't have been on it." Before his death, he only left a message: "Your roots are in the southwest." For the next half of his life, Xuan Qingzi used the art of Kanyu Talisman to walk around the world, taking care of strange things - red well water, life-changing haunted house, red-clothed demon, weeping blood ancient paintings... Seemingly independent supernatural units are quietly connected by an invisible thread. He has been chasing "who am I" all his life, until the truth is revealed in a village deep in the southwest mountains: the evil spirits he has solved and the souls he has saved in his life are all the sequelae of a heaven-defying sacrifice sixty years ago; his mother was the sacrifice chosen as a spiritual medium in that ceremony.
