Lost and Found Bureau

Deep in the city, there is an old-fashioned lost and found bureau that has no license, no certificate, and no records. It does not accept ordinary items such as keys, wallets, and umbrellas, but only "special lost items that have been completely forgotten and carry obsessions." These lost objects are not just objects. They absorb the owner's emotions, regrets, and obsessions, and even seal a piece of truth that has been artificially erased. If items stay in the world for too long, a strange "backlash effect" will occur: people who forget the items will gradually lose the corresponding memories, emotions, luck, and even lives. Anyone who takes the initiative to retrieve a lost item must pay an equivalent price - a memory, an emotion, an opportunity, or a hidden secret. Unclaimed lost property will not be destroyed or disappear, but will be permanently sealed in the bureau, accumulating resentment day after day, giving rise to countless urban ghost stories and bizarre murders. Everyone knows that there are ghosts in the city, but they don't know that all strange things come from people's "deliberate forgetfulness."
