Modern China. There are two types of people in this world: ordinary people and practitioners. The two are in the same world, but separated by an invisible wall. Practitioners have been passed down from generation to generation, with families and sects, all belonging to the three religious systems of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. They do not fly to the sky and escape from the earth, but they have a mind, energy and means that are far beyond ordinary people, and they operate another set of order at a level that ordinary people cannot see. Ordinary people will most likely not know the existence of practitioners throughout their lives - they vaguely feel that "some aristocratic families" and "some circles" are untouchable and inaccessible, but they can't tell what they are. Practitioners regard the world of ordinary people as "the earthly world".
