The world is familiar with the majesty of the Qin and Han Dynasties and the prosperity of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, but most people avoid this period of chaos that lasted for more than 130 years. When talking about the Five Husbands Rebellion, most people only have vague impressions of war, massacre, and displacement in their minds, or are misled by fragmented jokes on the Internet, and simply classify this complex history of national turmoil as an extreme drama of barbaric invasion and ethnic opposition. But real history is never black and white.
