I See Evil in the World

For five thousand dollars a day, someone worked the night shift in an abandoned manor. At midnight, the Buddha statue in the surveillance camera stood up. Someone returned to his hometown after a long absence, only to find that there were more gods worshiped in the village than when he left. Others just get off work, go home, turn off the lights and go to sleep as usual. When I woke up the next day, I found that there was one less person in the world. No one remembers that person ever existed. Except him. These stories take place in different places and different eras. The people in the story don't know each other.
