The Great Calamity: I Am Void, and I'll Never Be Outdone

The Void Emperor Ji Ye is reborn in Blue Star during an age of catastrophe, when giant beasts roam unchecked. Relying on technology, the Human Alliance develops new martial arts and tests people’s talents through genetic screening. After being reborn, Ji Ye spends all day staring blankly into the mirror. He is the good-for-nothing everyone at school agrees he is. Then, one day, a six-star Beast King, the Sky-Rending Eagle, flies past the defenses of Jiang Hai Base City and storms into Jiang Hai No. 1 High School. At the moment of crisis, “Mirror, come!” “Fight alongside me!” Ji Ye faces the six-star Beast King with a broken mirror in his hand. One strike. The Beast King is killed instantly. Everyone is stunned. Countless ages ago, he attained the Dao of the Void, and the Great Emperor descended upon the world. Countless ages later, a dust-covered broken mirror, and a boy awakening for the first time. Ji Ye stands atop the Sky-Rending Eagle’s corpse and wipes the dust from the broken mirror. In it, he sees his former self from countless ages ago. The Void Emperor has returned. “In this life, I don’t seek to become an emperor. I seek only to reshape the Void and protect humankind.” … The blurb doesn’t do it justice. This is my first attempt at an original story, so please read the main text.
