Push Away the Skyline

Lin Mo, a young boy, suffered from moderate autism since childhood and was unable to communicate normally with others. His parents sent him to live with his aunt in a small town. He unexpectedly found an injured bird by a rural stream. He picked it up with difficulty and took it home to take good care of it. On the rainy night when the bird left, Lin Mo drew a bird for the first time. No one at school cared about him and laughed at him as a freak. He didn't care and just kept painting for ten years. In a provincial painting competition, he submitted a work called "Fly", in which the sky was clear and birds were flying freely, which made all the judges cry. At the art exhibition, a reporter asked him what he wanted to say to his parents. He paused, and his voice was dry but clear: "They pushed open my window and let me see the light."
