Life Zero: Judgment in the Dome

If the memory, experience and personality of an existence are completely preserved, and only the "subject" who is experiencing it at this moment is deleted—— What was it that died? If another being had all your memories, remembered the people you loved, remembered the choices you made, and firmly believed that it was you - would it be continuing your life, or just inheriting your information? When memories can be copied, consciousness can be reconstructed, and death can be broken down into different technical operations, "living" is no longer a matter of course for the first time. If a being is created by humans, do humans therefore have the power to define it? If it commits an irreparable crime—— Should humans treat it as a program and delete it? Or must we first recognize "who" it is before we are qualified to judge it?
