Soul Land: It's Not an Illusion—It Really Is a Ten-Year Soul Ring

Lu Yu, a martial arts prodigy from Blue Star, stays up all night watching anime. The next day, someone comes to challenge his school, and Lu Yu confidently accepts. During their match, his opponent accidentally strikes him in the heart, shattering his meridians and killing him.

When he wakes up again, he discovers that he has transmigrated into the anime he watched the night before, "Douluo Dalu."

He awakens Twin Martial Souls: an External Beast Martial Soul (Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey) and a Ruyi Staff that changes size at will.

This combination is unmistakable. In Douluo Dalu, Lu Yu dubs himself the "Great Sage Equal to Heaven." As he grows stronger, he discovers that absorbing the corresponding Soul Rings lets him unlock Sun Wukong's supernatural abilities as soul skills.

Somersault Cloud, Seventy-Two Transformations, Body Beyond the Body, Immobilization, Three Heads and Six Arms, Lawful Heaven and Earth...

When Lu Yu wears the phoenix-winged purple-gold crown, dons golden chainmail, rests the Ruyi Jingu Bang on his shoulder, and strides on cloud-walking lotus-silk boots, what kind of upheaval will he unleash?
