Received Late at Night

In the editorial department of Midnight Bookstore, intern editor Lin Du received an anonymous submission - the manuscript will be updated by itself and it will write about what is happening in the editorial department. Before he could call the police, the manuscript had been updated to the next page: nine colleagues would be locked into an underground air-raid shelter in an "experiment", and he was the tenth. Escaped from the cabin, headed south to Jinan, crossed the forest and snowfields, and crossed the Chao Phraya River - with a van, a military kettle, and an accounting book, thirteen people set out from Binhai and embarked on an escape route written in advance by the original manuscript. Every time a line is updated in the manuscript, someone falls down; every time a page is turned, someone is taken away by the "organization". And Lin Du gradually discovered that the person who wrote this manuscript was never a person, but an it that had been writing for twenty-nine years. It could calculate every step, but it could not count one thing: someone would burn its manuscript and write the last page by itself. This is a realistic suspense novel.
