The current calendar in Jiuye Realm is called "Chengtian Calendar". It is now the 6421st year of Chengtian Calendar. All official histories record that more than six thousand years ago, a catastrophe called the "Heavenly Disaster" occurred in the world. At that time, demons were rampant, stars fell, and mountains and rivers were broken. The nine immortals joined forces to mend the sky, divide the nine continents, pass down the cultivation methods, and establish the original nine immortal sects. The world respectfully calls them: The Nine Saints of Mending the Sky. Every hundred years, the Nine Immortal Sects hold a ceremony to offer sacrifices to heaven to thank the Nine Saints for saving the common people. However, this history is almost entirely false. The real situation is: More than 6,000 years ago, humans in the Nine Wild Realms discovered that the sky was a seal. The most powerful monks at that time united and prepared to break the sky and escape from the Jiuye Realm. This action became known as the "Battle of Kaitian". The war ultimately failed. Nine supervisors responsible for guarding the Jiuye Realm came to the world, killed most of the monks who participated in the Battle of Kaitian, and tampered with the memories of all survivors.
