Once in a While

He is a tea ceremony master who only does one thing in his life: serving tea to travelers passing by. His tea room is beside a mountain road, and no matter who comes, they only have time for a bowl of tea. Someone asked him why he didn't accept apprentices to teach his skills. He said: "Every bowl of tea is unique and cannot be taught." When he was old and couldn't carry the tea bowls anymore, he dismantled the tea room. No one stopped on the mountain road anymore. Many years later, a white-haired old man came back to the teahouse and said that he drank that bowl of tea fifty years ago and remembered the taste of joy after suffering. He sat on the ruins all afternoon and said "Thank you for the hospitality" into the air. The wind blew these words throughout the mountain.
