I Transmigrated to an Island Nation to Become an Evil Monk

Arm the temples, raise warrior monks, and carry sedan chairs for the gods to pressure the court. If they refuse, burn and plunder. Lend money at usurious rates, swallow up land and fields, and force farming families to sell their children. Run roughshod over the countryside, obstruct officials, seize farmland, and expand your territory. Defy the daimyo, build fortified castles to protect yourselves, and use believers as human shields. We’ve done it all. I’m even crueler than the wicked monks, I squeeze every last drop from the people, That’s the most efficient way. What’s Asakura to me? What’s Oda to me? What’s Toyotomi to me? What’s Tokugawa to me? What the emperor dares not manage, I, the Buddha, will manage! What the daimyo dare not do, I, the Buddha, will do! Yet these commoners I’ve squeezed dry bow to me wherever they go: “Master Rukong is a living Buddha who has blessed countless households, the reincarnation of a Buddha!” I’m a fake monk who does every evil under the sun, so how did I become a living Buddha? Wait, have you people got the wrong idea about what a “living Buddha” is?!
