Ranch of the Gods, Trying to Be a Heretic in a Theocratic World

The mortal realm is designated by the gods as a pasture for harvesting emotions and souls. The church monopolizes floating crystal cores, steam magic runes and underground drilling technology, binds mortals with the shackles of faith, and stirs up disputes among nations for the gods to draw nourishment. Vincent, an orphan of an aristocratic family, was brutally exterminated because of his family's secret possession of the forbidden Star Magic Manuscript, and managed to escape into the wilderness. He relied on the remaining magical parts in the wilderness medicine garden and underground ruins to survive. He traveled around the gray areas of the major kingdoms and accumulated strength, trying to tear apart the cage that the gods and the church jointly woven to imprison all living beings.
