Misty Rain in Southern Anhui

Rooted in the mountainous areas of southern Anhui since childhood, the author was tired of the humidity and occlusion of his hometown and devoted himself to the prosperity of the outside world. The missed appointments when parents left to work hard, and the loneliness of being alone when young, made escape the obsession of the entire youth. But the wandering and hardship in a foreign land made him look back to his hometown frequently. A continuous drizzle and an old oil-paper umbrella awaken the dusty childhood memories and hometown feelings. Returning to his hometown, amid the horse head wall, bluestone slabs, bamboo sea smoke and neighborly warmth, he reconciled with the regrets of his youth and dispelled many years of obsession and confusion. Finally, I know that the most beautiful scenery is not far away. The place where I feel at ease is my hometown. The years of wind and rain in my heart finally return to the clear sky and warm sunshine in southern Anhui.
