Long Way

"The Way Away" is a narrative of youth's depravity set in the countryside of the 1990s. It tells the fateful story of young Lin Ye who loses his life step by step and reaches a desperate situation. His family is broken, his father's love is absent, and his mother is far away. He has been dependent on his sick grandmother since childhood, trapped in poverty and emptiness, sensitive and paranoid. In the same country, my best friend marched steadily on a long journey, guarding the ordinary fireworks, but the forest and wilderness kept yawing on a straight and smooth road. The gap in family ties and material embarrassment envelop the confusion of adolescence. He is led by evil thoughts, blurring good and evil in one fluke after another, filling the hole in his heart with shortcuts, possessions and false dignity, constantly breaking through the bottom line and overdrawing his life. The whole book uses dual life comparisons and detailed metaphors of fate to dismantle the decline of human nature of ordinary teenagers. There is no sudden darkening, only the intersection of turning back is missed again and again, and goodwill and retreat are exhausted step by step. The road is long and long. Some people walk toward the sun, while others make mistakes and find it difficult to turn back.
