A Strange Apocalypse? I Just Laugh While Cultivating Merit

Xu Wen transmigrates to a world of immortal cultivation, where he amounts to nothing and becomes a wandering cultivator at the very bottom of society. By chance, he obtains a two-way portal and transmigrates to a strange apocalypse, where a blood moon hangs overhead, zombies roam everywhere, and ghosts run rampant… You think he’s about to start cultivating demonic arts? Wrong! Xu Wen chooses to stick to orthodox cultivation! Killing zombies and refining ghosts earn him Heavenly Dao merit and righteous qi, helping him cultivate with no side effects. His cultivation speed skyrockets, and everyone in the world thinks he’s a virtuous gentleman. How is that fair? Xu Wen can only shout, “This makes no sense!” Then he turns around, returns to the cultivation world, sells his ancestral home, and heads to a morally gray region in the dead of night. He slays evil spirits to accumulate Heavenly Dao merit and righteous qi, then refines souls and corpses and sells them to demonic cultivators for profit. He makes money from the demonic path while practicing the orthodox path! Others cultivate orthodox arts at a snail’s pace with scarce resources, while Xu Wen cultivates them at rocket speed with resources to spare! One day, when Xu Wen surrounds a demonic holy site with a vast store of Heavenly Dao merit and righteous qi, both the orthodox masters and the demonic powerhouses are left stunned. “Where did he get so much merit and righteous qi? This makes no sense!”
