It's Cold, Just Hold Hands

She was very poor when she married him. She only had one cotton-padded jacket in winter, and they took turns wearing it. He went out to work while she was shivering from the cold at home. When he came back, he took off his cotton-padded jacket to her and huddled under the quilt himself. Later, life got better and the wardrobe was full of coats, but she was always reluctant to throw away that tattered cotton-padded jacket. In the winter when he fell ill, she took out a cotton-padded jacket and covered him. He closed his eyes and said, "It's cold, can you give me another piece of clothing?" She cried and said, "You are my clothing, and you have been wearing it all my life."
