The first monster nearly destroyed Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, killing millions. It took a coalition of nations twenty-six days to kill it under concentrated fire. And that was just one monster. With several monsters appearing every day in the future, what could the nations of the world do? There has never been any savior, nor any emperor or deity to rely on. To create a happy life for humanity, we must depend on ourselves. In 2069, the National Giant of Light Oversight and Management Council was established in the capital. In just ten years, the Council brought China's monster-disaster risk index down to the lowest in the world. For the next twenty years, it also won the title of TRC's best national defense force, awarded by the Terrestrial Monster Disaster Response Coalition. Until one day, a single city suffered three monster disasters in a row. The peaceful days of the past became nothing but a distant hope.
