The Shangtang River needs to be widened and the old houses along the bank have to be demolished. Grandma was sitting by the river leaning on a cane and would not leave if anyone tried to persuade her. The address was a certain number on the bank of the Shangtang River. The recipient was her grandmother's name and the sender was a soldier. There was only one sentence in the letter: "Come back after the battle and wait for me by the river."
