Battle Through the Heavens: Three Donghua Choices at Every Breakthrough—Starting as Shendu

After dying from overwork, he transmigrates into Battle Through the Heavens and becomes Xiao Yan’s older brother, Xiao Long.

With poor talent, he thinks his only option is to cling to his little brother Xiao Yan and live a quiet, steady life. At worst, he might end up crippled, trade his life for a higher cultivation realm, or get captured by the Hun Clan. As long as Xiao Yan becomes a Dou Di, everything will work out.

There’s always a way forward! The path I want is right beneath my feet!!!

At six, he begins cultivating, and thinks his aptitude is merely average. Then his golden finger arrives right on schedule: a choice between three Chinese animated series he watched in his previous life.

[One: Jackie Chan Adventures, the Demon Sorcerer]

[Two: The Legend of Shen Bing, the Shennong Ruler]

[Three: The Legend of Qin, Jing Ni]

If the Demon Sorcerer is an option, I’m picking him!!

For the sake of a peaceful future, Xiao Long can only painfully pass over the beautiful and badass Jing Ni. He lets his hindbrain overrule his forebrain for once and chooses the Demon Sorcerer template.

As a Dou Zhe, he once again gives up Yan Lingji and chooses the Rainbow Stone from Star Wanderers, gaining the power to control shadows.

Xiao Long: Now I have everything I need!!

When Nalan Yanran comes to break off the engagement, he immediately scolds her for being heartless, unrighteous, discourteous, untrustworthy, and unfilial.

Nalan Yanran: In that case, the engagement stays, but I’m changing my target to Xiao Long!

Xiao Long: I’m so awesome, so how did I end up being the one she’s engaged to? No way, I’m calling off the engagement!!
