Talk!

When we were children, we sat around the dinner table. The adults talked about the family's shortcomings, but the children couldn't get in the middle of the conversation, so they listened carefully. Those words fall into our hearts like seeds and slowly grow into the way we view the world. When we grow up, we start to talk to a lot of people—to our bosses, to colleagues, to clients, but rarely to ourselves. There are no great truths in this book, only what an ordinary person says about life at different ages. When I was twelve years old, a worn-out copy of "Water Margin" planted the seeds of a world. When I was in college, I tore down the world with my rebellious eyes. Now, when I rewatched the play with my wife at dinner, I understand that there is a mountain on everyone's shoulders. Here are the wheat fields of childhood, the pain of adulthood, the beauty of encounters, and those moments that will make you smile lightly when you think of them late at night.
