In the late Yong Dynasty, railways cut through ancestral graves, telegraphs replaced messengers, and photography allowed machines to remember people's faces for the first time. Old rules are dying in droves, and new ones are growing coldly. In this "blood change" that no one announced, some children who should not be forgotten disappeared from all records - not even "came here" remained. Shen Wang, the copy clerk of the Wujin Register Office, was the only one who could still see them. He can leave his name for others, but the price is that he is being forgotten. Every time he saves someone, he has less chance of being recognized. This is not a story about defeating the villain.
