A Rental Boyfriend in Supernatural Tokyo

Lin Guangxi realized that something about Tokyo was different. Under the flickering streetlights, black figures appeared and vanished. A woman wearing a mask stood outside the school gate late at night, and “chain paranormal texts” were circulating among the students. The strangest thing was that a “Rent-a-Boyfriend” app had appeared on his phone out of nowhere. Every so often, it sent him a job offer. If he refused, bad luck would follow him. So while serving as the clients’ temporary boyfriend, Lin Guangxi also had to help deal with the paranormal incidents happening to them. One day, he dragged himself home exhausted and discovered that a gigantic woman, two meters and forty centimeters tall, had just moved in next door. He checked his phone, only to find another mocking message from his manager, Miss Mary. The TV had been acting up lately, too, intermittently showing an image of an abandoned well in the middle of nowhere. Just as Lin Guangxi was about to lie down, his phone began beeping nonstop. It turned out to be the former clients who wouldn’t leave him alone. He typed out a reply. [Please don’t contact me about non-work matters.] [We were only connected by temporary arrangements, not a real boyfriend-girlfriend relationship.] [Besides, who I date has nothing to do with you, does it?] The messages came right back, one after another... [What’s this? Your last words?] …Shivering, Lin Guangxi honestly felt these women were scarier than any paranormal tale. He rolled over in bed, closed his eyes, and tried not to think about any of it. The eyes beneath the bed opened.
