National Sailing: I Only Have One Surfboard

Eight billion people around the world are collectively traveling through the apocalypse of the National Voyage. Each person is randomly assigned a ship and can upgrade rafts, sailboats, armored giant ships, and floating warships. Only I started with a surfboard, and the system prompted: The surfboard can never be upgraded, expanded, or added with any buildings.
