The Heavenly Dao's Rules of Maintenance

Programmer Tang Chuan worked overtime until the early hours, then woke up drenched. He looked up to find that the Heavenly Dao had collapsed, reincarnation was down, the laws of the universe lay shattered, and resentment was still frantically throwing up the error “404: Soul Not Found.” A gaunt old man stood nearby. The System said, “The whole world will be formatted in 72 hours.” Tang Chuan opened the maintenance console and took a deep breath. “Got it. Three million years of spaghetti code. I’ll refactor it.” Tang Chuan stared at the wall of error messages in silence for three seconds. “It's just code. I’ll fix it. ...Brother Wang, stop rushing me!”
