The Qin Throat

Shangshan, the gateway between Qin and Chu. A manuscript: half hidden in a crevice in the Qinling Mountains, half carried across the Pacific. For five generations and 150 years, people have safeguarded the “accent” of immigrants from seventy-two clans, a tradition on the verge of being lost: the thread binding them to their roots. This is an epic with sound at its heart, capturing the pain and the light of all those who have left their homeland in search of a spiritual home.
