Lost in Hong Kong and Shenzhen

[Older man + Twelve-year age gap + Rekindled old flame + Angsty realism + Powerful man bows for love + Relentless pursuit to win her back] Xu Yunzhen had just started her career, and in her first two months she was so broke she could barely keep a roof over her head. Her family was also pressuring her to get married, leaving her overwhelmed. Just then, Xiao Youyan, a big shot in Hong Kong who had failed to win back his ex-wife, returned to the office. Already in a foul mood, he spotted a face that looked eighty percent like his ex-wife's, only younger. “?” Xu Yunzhen had never imagined such a stroke of luck would fall into her lap. Everyone pitied and teased her, but she happily married him and went off to enjoy life as a stepmother. She had no sense at all that she was being treated as a substitute or a kept woman. She spent money without batting an eye and was always saying, “My husband is the best. I love him so much.” Everyone in Hong Kong thought Xu Yunzhen was madly in love with Xiao Youyan. They pitied her and made her the butt of their jokes. Then, when their five-year marriage contract was up, his ex-wife, tired of pursuing freedom, wanted to remarry Xiao Youyan. Xu Yunzhen promptly packed up and left. Later, she heard that Mr. Xiao hadn't remarried his former wife and that the two had even fallen out. She treated it as a joke. That was until her ex-husband showed up with their daughter, begging for sympathy. The two of them had nearly frozen in the bitter cold. The little glutinous-rice ball threw herself on the ground in front of the door and wailed, “Mommy, why didn't you take Tiantian with you when you divorced Daddy?! I even asked the lawyer uncle, and he said Tiantian is your personal property!” As if. The man, proud and aloof for half his life, pleaded in a humble voice: “Honey, I haven't signed the divorce papers yet. Legally, we're still married. I'm begging you, come back to Hong Kong with me.”
