Hong Kong Nights in a Haze

【Older man + an old flame reignited + the powerful man bows his head + marriage before love + countdown to divorce + husband chases wife to win her back】 When Xu Mi was at her most desperate for money, she caught the eye of Hong Kong tycoon Zhou Yu and became his second wife, all because her face resembled that of the woman he loved deeply. After the wedding, everyone waited to see Xu Mi make a fool of herself. They all mocked her as a substitute, a lowly canary. But Xu Mi paid them no mind. She diligently played the role of Mrs. Zhou, never making a fuss or causing trouble. As time went by, everyone in Hong Kong came to believe that she was hopelessly in love with Zhou Yu. Then Zhou Yu’s ex-wife returned. Before he could even say a word, Xu Mi grabbed the huge fortune and ran without looking back. Later, she heard that the famous Mr. Zhou had been badly shaken by it, but Xu Mi thought it was a joke. In the second year after leaving Zhou Yu, Xu Mi’s car broke down in the freezing snows of Northern Europe. Just as she was at a loss, Zhou Yu appeared like a hero, just as he had all those years ago, and clumsily fixed her car. The man who had been arrogant all his life stood in the vast, snow-white landscape, showing a vulnerability Xu Mi had never seen before as he faced the woman who had once been his substitute. In a hoarse voice, he asked, “Since you let me... since my people fixed your car, could you... give me a chance to... let me fix our marriage?”
