The Emperor Forges the Star Abyss

When Su Ziyuan was fifteen, he was merely a scholar traveling to sit the imperial examinations. A blue robe, a lean horse, a bundle of bamboo books, and a heart full of righteous conviction. All he wanted was to earn a degree and support himself and his younger sister. Then heaven and earth changed, and a dying Immortal King drove an immortal seal into his brow. There were immortals in this world. But the path he walked was unlike anyone else’s. While others established their foundations, formed golden cores, and condensed nascent souls, he opened a spirit sea within himself, gathered stars, carved his lifebound character, and excavated an abyss. His dantian concealed a universe not yet fully formed. The Cave Realm was nothing but a cage. The Upper Realm treated the lower worlds as “immortal farms,” periodically harvesting their prodigies. Su Ziyuan refused to flee. He had lost so many people: his senior sister gave her life to help him comprehend the “Seventy-Two Levels of the Tower”; his master died because he was powerless to save him; and his beloved, Mu Qingxin, had her soul taken by the Immortal Realm, leaving her to be laid to rest in an ice coffin. But the Dao he cultivated was the “Dao of Love.” From the Cave Realm to the Upper Realm, from the Immortal Realm to the reaches beyond the Void, he carried the wishes of the dead with him and climbed onward, step by step. His adversary was the Immortal Emperor, an archenemy who was no pure villain. He had spent his life fighting the “Shanhai Calamity” from beyond the Void, believing in the Dao of Severed Emotions and convinced that only by cutting off all feelings and desires could the people unite. Su Ziyuan’s goal was not to kill the Immortal Emperor. He wanted to prove that emotions were not a weakness. This is one man’s epic, from the son of a mortal to a traveler beyond the Void. Those he protected and those he lost all became undying stars along the road he walked.
