Three Snails on the Edge of Concrete

"Foundation Laying" focuses on three young people who entered the construction industry after graduation. It tells the story of how they met each other and grew up side by side, and then persisted in facing the ups and downs of the industry, workplace difficulties and interest tests, adhering to their original aspirations and brotherhood, and finally realized their career growth and life value. The novel selects the construction and real estate industry as the core narrative stage, closely following the context of China's economic development in the past two decades: from the rapid expansion and rapid development of the real estate and infrastructure industry after the 2008 global financial crisis, to the complete cycle of national macroeconomic policy regulation, gradual cooling of the industry, and entry into a period of deep adjustment. Through the survival, self-rescue and transformation of construction practitioners in the industry boom and cold winter, it truly restores the perseverance and exploration of a generation of industry people, and reflects China's economic development, industrial changes and social transformation in the past two decades through small insights.
