Ink

It is a classical chapter novel set during the Qianlong period. The work takes Lin Jingzhai, a scholar from a poor family in Qingzhou as the protagonist, and tells the revenge story of Lin Jingzhai, a scholar from a poor family in Qingzhou who decided to give up the imperial examination because of his mother's humiliation and unjust death. He used blood as ink, power as a sword, and stepped into the abyss of officialdom step by step. The novel uses "blood inkstone" as a reference to outline the cruel picture of "rich families smelling of wine and meat" in the shadow of Qianlong's prosperous age. The abnormal love between Lin Jingzhai and Liu Ruyan, which grew up amid the blades and blood and tears, is not only the comfort on the road to revenge, but also the final anchor point of conscience. The whole book uses "black silk" as a metaphor for the lust for power, "broken hairpin" as an inscription of blood feud, and describes the struggle and sinking of a poor man in troubled times who "use his body as a blade and ink as poison".
