Story of Yachi River: One Bridge Carries Half the Frost

This is a long volume of documentary prose that focuses on the Yachi River Valley and engraved the years of the family. With the changes in mountains and rivers as the preface, and the joys and sorrows of fireworks as the soul, it writes the long life song of three generations of ordinary people across troubled and prosperous times. The years began in 1936, when the sky was full of war smoke. A young man from the Red Army in northern Saibei came out of the war and was injured and stranded in the mountains of Guizhou and Guizhou. Since then, he bid farewell to his hometown, hidden his edge, and took root in the troubled times of the river valley. At that time, the river was blocked and the mountains and rivers were separated. People on both sides of the strait were trapped in the dangerous boat crossing and the current situation was unstable. They spent their fleeting years in exile and poverty. It was not until 1958 that the iron bridge lay across the river, and the thousand-year-old natural chasm became a thoroughfare. Mountains and rivers connect the north and south, and coal fires in the mountains are reborn. The family ties that have been separated for half a lifetime can be dependent on each other day and night, and the fate of the family that has been precarious for half a lifetime is finally stabilized. The book is full of fleeting whispers, describing the various fates: the fathers defended their hometown with soldiers and horses, and returned to the dust of the mountains and rivers; the children quietly did good in the blank spaces of life, and spent the rest of their lives peacefully; the younger generations worked hard to plow coal and run the house, and gently inherited the joys and sorrows of the years. The surging river water has washed away centuries of wind and frost, and the long iron bridge is filled with human fireworks. Under the torrent of the great times, ordinary people overcome hardships with kindness, survive displacement with tenacity, and guard the rest of their lives with gentleness. All the wanderings and staying together, incompleteness and perfection, separation and reunion, eventually settled into the warmest and longest family background deep in the river valley.
